Ok, so it wasn't exactly a party. Mr. Bill Vestal and Mrs. Karen Vestal said that there were going to be games and since our church doesn't celebrate halloween, they decided to call it 'Bible Character Night.' The highest Awana groups (Trek and Journey) contain twelve to eighteen year-olds, sooooooooooooooooooo, basically nobody really wanted to dress up as a Bible character. Its not that we have anything against dressing up like Bible characters, we just would feel kind of silly dressing up.
There was only one game so I think that Mr. and Mrs. Vestal had planned some games maybe outdoors, but we couldn't go out of doors because it had been raining/ was raining. So after worship, announcements, prayer requests, repeating our scriptures, and a couple funny/lame halloween jokes, (don't tell Mr. Vestal I said that his jokes were lame), we all split up into two groups and played 'Apples to Apples'. That was pretty fun! Elizabeth and our friends Jennifer, Renee, Joshua, Jerrod, and Luke were in our group. It was also really nice talking to Jennifer after Awanas.
All in all, it was fun and I can't wait to see all my friends this Sunday!
HAPPY FALL CELEBRATION!
(As my family calls it.)
Prayer requests:
1. For my friend Jenna, her family, relatives, and sister, Summer as they wait for Summer's baby.
2. For my pastor, Pastor Carl. He is still sick and is going back to the doctor's this coming Monday.
3. For my sweet, wonderful mommy. (Unspoken.)
4. For our ducklings. One has a broken leg and the other's legs are both broken. We've bandaged them, but I'm still pretty worried for the one with two broken legs. Please pray that all the ducklings will live healthily.
5. Unspoken.
6. For me and my relationship with the Lord.
7. Unspoken.
Thank you for all of your prayers.
Praying for you! I love that you post prayer requests!
