Apple Farm, Fun!

Two days ago, (Thursday evening to be exact), my family, including Christan's friend Matt, all headed out to my grandma's house.Our plan for the 'almost weekend' was to spend Thursday night at Grandma's house, go to the apple farm on Friday, and head back home, Friday afternoon. Well, we had a LOT of fun at the apple farm! I guess you could say we were making memories!

The first thing we did was look around in the apple market, we then decided that it would probably be best to buy our apples after we checked out the other activities on the farm. So, we went for a tractor ride! (Pictures coming soon!) There were all sorts of handmade wooden pictures and stuffed pictures of 'Wizard of Oz' characters along with other stuffed 'people'.

Next, we went to the Petting Zoo. That was my favorite part! They had chicks, chickens, goats, two lambs, a pig, kittens, and a calf. Abigail, Matt, and I held some of the kittens. I absolutely LOVED one of their little gray kittens she was such a cutie. I let Matt hold her and she did the funniest thing. I guess she got tired of being held so after a while, she crawled on Matt's back! He had to bend over while walking to the kitten's cage with the kitten on his back, so that the kitten wouldn't fall! Oh my!

Daddy and Mommy really liked the goats! We've talked about clearing out an area in our woods for goats or a cow some day when we get the right equipment to push over the trees and pull out the stumps. It won't be anytime soon, but we do want to have milking goats someday!

Next, Elizabeth, Abigail, and I went down a huge slide. It was fun, but I didn't feel like doing it again. At the end, we bought apples, candy, and Abigail bought two very tiny pumpkins with her money. It was a lot of fun!

Afterwards, we went to one more apple farm. This apple farm was really what I'd call an 'Apple Store'. Their market was huge! All in all, we spent more time at the other apple farm because there was more to do there.

We had a great time! Grandma even said, "That was the best trip!" I am so glad we all got to spend such a nice time together and I look forward to making another trip to the apple farm again next year!
