Many people bewail the sad incident that happened on 9/11, the terrorist attack on the two Twin Towers. I can't say I knew what was happening then because I was only five, but I sure do now.
Since the terrorist attack on 9/11, many people have been quite changed. Infact, every community has been changed. Every year on September 11th, Americans reflect on the attack of 9/11. Around September 11th school teachers explain about the incident on 9/11 to children who may not know about it. Even worse, broken families mourn over a loved one or loved ones who died in the traumatic attack. Can you see a mother, now destitute receiving the information that her beloved husband has perished in the torrid flames that the crashing planes caused? Or a child's sad visage streaming with tears after hearing that his mother died in the attack? These are people that have experienced great pain! If you know someone who lost a loved one during 9/11, reach out to them! Love them! Cry with them and comfort them! Tell them about God's unfailing love! If they've lost a husband, tell them God is their new husband! If they've lost a daddy, tell them God is their new daddy! God loves his children, and I'm not just talking about infants and toddlers I'm talking about everyone. Teens, parents, couples, kids, toddlers, infants, elders, grandparents, everyone! God loves you who is reading this post right now! Speaking of love though, the terrorist attack on 9/11 was the farthest thing from love. It was wicked, it was hateful, it was sinful! Those terrorists changed America in the wrong way. That terrorist attack was not meant to change America for good it was meant to hurt America, and it did.
So many people have changed the world. What I want to know is, do you want to change the world? If so, do you want to change it for good? Or for bad? To glorify God? Or to glorify yourself? These are important questions if you do want to change the world. Take Johnathan Edwards, William Wilberforce, George Washington, Harriett Tubman, Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. Anthony, or Martin Luther King Jr. What do all of these people have in common? God helped them change the world, for good.
So, if you want to change the world, follow Jesus Christ's example. He changed the world over two-thousand years ago, and he's still not finished yet!
