Guess what blog readers? There's a really cute kitten that has been guarding our chicken coop for quite a few weeks now. She is black and white; and is as cute as can be! Anyway, my mom said this morning that we could keep her! I'm so excited! She has a name too. The last few weeks that I've been feeding her I haven't been able to think of a name to call her so I've just tried coaxing her using the name 'kitty'. Elizabeth, Abigail, and our neighbor boy, John next door, had been calling her Oreo though. So, Oreo it is!
Oreo has seemingly manipulated my mom into keeping her. First, Oreo was cute. Then Oreo showed my mom that she has proven to be a real 'chicken guardian', (giggle-giggle), when she caught a mouse immediately after Elizabeth and Mommy shooed it out of the chicken coop. Eventually, after day after day of seeing Oreo looking so cute, Mommy couldn't help it anymore.
In the end, after asking numerous friends and our grandparents if they wanted a cute kitten, no one could afford to accept little Oreo. Well, now Oreo has a permanent home! That puts us to four cats, a vagabond cat, two dogs, five chickens, ducks to feed, and a couple more stray cats. Seriously, why do all the stray cats come to our house? We've had stray dogs come to our house too. I'll just say one thing, if your looking to adopt a pet, come to our house and I'm sure you'll stray animal will show up!
