Missions Trip to Jamaica

On Friday, April 8th Christian and Matt flew to Jamaica with their friends and internship leaders. This was the first time Christian had ever gone to a missions trip out of the country so we were all a little nervous. Christian didn't have his cell phone with him and wasn't able to contact us which made my mom a little uneasy, but I think we all knew that he would be fine. They did street witnessing, visited an elderly home and orphanage, led worship at a church, and quite a few other things that I cannot remember. :D

They flew back to the U.S.A. on Friday, the 15th and we were all so excited to have Christian and Matt safely back home! Elizabeth and I had been at a bowling alley with a couple of our friends that Friday night and Mom, Dad and Abigail had gone to pick up Christian and Matt from the church that they go to, ACC (Atlanta City Church), which is also where they are taking their internship. I was so excited to see my brother when I opened that car door, I just stood there in the rain and gave him a big hug. I could've kept hugging him, but I was getting him a bit wet and Elizabeth was also standing behind me in the rain waiting to get inside.

Christian brought back a souvenir for each of us. A tiny plumbing pipe for Dad (I know it was a pipe, but it was from Jamaica so that makes it pretty cool), Jamaican coins for Mom, a "peace-out" necklace for Abigail (she's so into the peace designs :D), a beaded necklace with a bracelet for Elizabeth, and a beaded necklace for me. Mom also gave Elizabeth, Abigail and I each a coin. It was such a treat to receive these little gifts!

I think that the missions trip to Jamaica did my brother some good. He and his friends/leaders from the internship had a lot of fun, and most important spread God's Holy Word. I wish I had pictures to post but I don't, maybe I can borrow some of Matt's. God bless and have a wonderful weekend!
