A BIG Update!

Hello my blog readers! I've been very busy lately with school and other things. I want to post more pictures on here but I don't really even know how to upload pictures from my phone onto the computer and my camera won't load pictures onto the computer, at least right now. But just to let y'all know I do want to start uploading more pictures. :)

Here are some things things that we've been up to lately:

My brother proposed to his girlfriend Rose at the end of August! <3 :) <3

Elizabeth and I started going to the Eagle's Nest co-op near us. Elizabeth and I have been getting stressed out with the homework from our science and history classes, but I believe the hard work will pay off and hopefully become less stressful. We're also taking a drama class there and we really are enjoying it so far!

Awana has started back up! I am in the "Journey" group now, Elizabeth is in the "Trek" group still, and Abigail has moved up into the "T&T" (Truth&Training) group. Daddy is helping out with the youth group music this year. Mommy enjoyed helping out in Awana last year, but she is taking a break from Awana this year.

Part of our garage is being turned into a homeschool room, a new laundry room, and a little storage closet! We are so excited and the rooms will be very useful!

One of our ducks had three little ducklings! Unfortunately, two of them died on after the first day and our dog Molly killed the other one. We had taught Molly in the past to chase the ducks into our pond when they would bother us by coming into our garage to eat cat food. Molly had never actually hurt the ducks before though. We think that since we taught Molly to chase the ducks into the pond though, she probably thought she was doing the right thing when she chased and then sadly killed the baby duckling. It is sad, especially for the mother duck who sat so patiently on her nest for weeks, waiting for her babies to hatch, and they only lived a couple days. :'(

Last Friday, Mommy, Elizabeth, Abigail, and I tidied the house for some guests that we were expecting in the evening. Then, we went out to have a "mother-daughter day" together! (I want to put some pictures from that day on my blog soon! So more pictures coming!)
Later that evening, my dad's friend Mr. Russel and his family came over. They had dinner with us and then Mr. Russel and Daddy worked on the electrical stuff in our homeschool room and new laundry room that are in progress.

Today, our church celebrated the 20 something year anniversary of Grace Community Fellowship Church! The Georgia Peach State Quartet came to Grace and sang with their lovely God-given voices. There was a big lunch or you could call it "supper" down here in the south. Mommy brought her squash casserole and cheese biscuits and I brought two of my apple pies. It was a jolly time!
After church, Christian and his fiance' and the rest of us looked at two houses that Christian and Rose might want to move into some day after they get married. <3 Both houses looked like they needed work, especially the second one we looked at. But it is all so very exciting to me!
Christian and Rose make such a cute couple together! <3

                                                             Prayer Requests:

~ There is a very sweet lady in our church and she has cancer that is spreading even more. Please, pray for God's healing upon her and comfort for her and her sweet husband and the rest of their family. She really needs prayers.

~ One of the families in our church has a grandpa that is very, very sick. He is not doing very well, it seems like he may not have much more time to live. This family and their grandpa and their other relatives need prayer.

It is very sober, what is going on in others' lives around us. I nearly cried today when I saw the hurting, sweet face of the man who's wife has cancer. There is so much suffering all around us that we sometimes don't even see. And we don't always have to know all the details about others lives in order to see that they're hurting inside and going through tough times. Sometimes just their faces, their eyes can tell us. They may be laughing, but crying inside.

The Lord is working a lot in my sister, Elizabeth's life right now. She is really helping friends around her and that's because of her obedience to God. I am proud of her, but I have also been jealous of her. But last night, God revealed to me that the reason people have been opening up to Elizabeth more than me is because she has been caring towards them because she wants to help them and comfort them more than just wanting to have a bunch of friends. While I've been thinking of myself more than others. does that make sense? Its not always easy for me to explain things very thoroughly when I'm typing the words instead of speaking them.

I can see that God is really working in Elizabeth's life right now though to help others and she is really an example to me. Many times I don't appreciate her and what she does for me. I want to learn to love her more and I want us to grow closer together, and I'm sure God would like us to also. I cannot do anything without the Lord though. If I make an A or a B on my science test, its because God gave me the ability to learn the facts and remember them during the test. If I take a walk in the woods or do the laundry, its because God makes my muscles and body move so that I can do those things. We cannot do anything without the Lord. All the glory should go to him.

I hope that y'all are all doing well. If there is anything I can pray for for you, please don't hesitate to let me know. You can comment on this post or email me at godalmighty4ever@gmail.com . God bless y'all.

Love, Anne
