A Glorious Week!

Abigail had her 8th birtday last Monday! She is the youngest in our family and she is such a sweet, good-natured, loving, and beautiful little girl. She is truly a treasure; her sweetness is almost always unfailing and we just love her so, so much! She is a light in the world! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABIGAIL! May God bless you with continuous good health, wonderful friends, His perfect love, and much, much more!

Okay, so last Wednesday was like one of the most embarrassing, crazy, hilarious, and best times I've ever had at AWANA. It may sound lame, but I had crazy fun. It was a Christmas party, and we played some incredibly crazy games, like run to the end of the room and use your chin that has been coated with vasaline and without using your hands, try to see how many cotton balls you can pick up. Or like when some of the kids had to roll themselves in a blanket and roll from one side of the room to the other. I'll admitt, I DO play crazy games at home, but its a lot different when you have like twenty teens/adults watching you.
We also came up with a really, kind a weird version of 'Rudolph the Red' (or should I put) 'Pink- Nosed Reindeer', exchanged gag gifts, and did a whole a lot of crazy and fun things.

On Friday, Elizabeth and I went to a Christmas party at our friends, Elise and Sheree's house. We Christmas caroled at a nursing home, which was a blessing not only to the elderly's but to me as well. There was one man in particular that is now very dear to my heart. After singing Christmas carols, I went to pat him on the back and say "Merry Christmas", instead, he gave me a wonderful hug and a kiss on my ckeek. With tears streaming out of his eyes he simply said, "Thank you. God bless you." I was so choked up. I had to fight to hold my tears back. I hardly even knew what to say next except for a quiet "Merry Christmas and God bless you." It was not only his sweetness that made me want to cry, but it was that when he gave me that kiss on my cheek, it reminded me of my late granddaddy's kisses he used to give to me, which I had forgotten how they felt. I hope to go back and visit that nursing home again, especially that man.

Later, w had an absolutely equisite dinner and we afterwards, we passed out tracts and some goody bags in Ashely Park. Later, we came back and had dessert and cider. It was a wonderful evening and I greatly enjoyed getting to know some other friends better. In all honesty, Elise and Sheree's party was one of the best parties I had ever attended!

Another memory that I will always treasure was just yesterday, when I started teaching my mommy to knit. She is very good at casting on and is catching on to the knitting process. Knitting is can be exremely hard when you are fist learning, and I am just so proud that Mommy kept at it, and even when she felt like quitting, didn't!

Unfortunately, little Abigail became very sick Saturday night from a migraine. Poor thing, barely eight and she's getting migraines. Because of that however, Mommy had to stay home with her while Daddy, Elizabeth, and I went to Grace church. After, I felt so blessed as Elizabeth, Daddy, and I received numerous Christmas cards and sweet, little gifts from friends. A very sweet grandpa from our church, whom we hardly even know felt like God laid it on his heart to give Abigail, Elizabeth, and I a Christmas gift. He gave each of us an envelope, but we're waiting 'till Christmas day to open them. May God bless that sweet grandpa and all of our other friends!

I feel humbled to know that God has given my family and I such wonderful, sweet and kind, faithful, and loving friends. I would just like to say, God bless all of you this Christmas and after. All of you are ginormous blessings in mine and in God's eyes. Thank you. You've made a difference in the life of a friend. Me.

                                                             MERRY CHRISTMAS!
